The winter was snowy and spring - prolonged (survey data). The cold weathers remained during the observation period in early July.

Breeding conditions:

Rough-legged Buzzards or other raptors did not nest. Typical for the area wader species (Ringed Plover, Red-necked Stint, Temminck's Stint, Mongolian Plover) were uncommon while Pacific Golden-Plovers, Dotterel, Spoon-billed and Baird's Sandpipers were not seen at all.
 

Rodent dynamics:

Neither voles nor the always rare in the area lemmings were found.
